This time, I redesigned a traditional paper based scavenger hunt as a guided AR experience for short-term foreign exchange students from Japan. Students were directed to seek out new places, solve puzzles, find objects, write and share notes, and more. Success resulted in receiving virtual items and gaining a running tally of points, which computed into a leaderboard that could be shared with the entire class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"614\" src=\"http:\/\/seanholland.net\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/arisscavengermap-1024x614.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seanholland.net\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/arisscavengermap-1024x614.png 1024w, https:\/\/seanholland.net\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/arisscavengermap-300x180.png 300w, https:\/\/seanholland.net\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/arisscavengermap-768x460.png 768w, https:\/\/seanholland.net\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/arisscavengermap.png 1782w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/>
The campus viewed in the ARIS editor map view.
